Inshore visibility is looking very good today, with clear blue water around La Jolla Shores based on local observations and conditions visible from the Scripps Pier cameras. The cleanest water is holding in the shallower portions of the kelp and along the Shores, while divers heading deeper (around 15 m / 50 ft and below) should expect visibility to become a bit hazier with increased particulate matter. Sea surface temperatures remain warm in the 70–72°F range, making for comfortable diving conditions.

Surf has eased into the 2–3 ft range today, making for calmer entries and exits than earlier this week. Some light surge is still possible on shallow reefs and exposed points, but overall conditions are favorable for both freedivers and scuba divers. Light morning winds are expected to increase gradually into the afternoon, bringing a bit more surface chop later in the day. As usual, the best diving window will be from early morning through late morning before the afternoon sea breeze builds.
