Inshore visibility is looking very good today, with clear blue water around La Jolla Shores based on local observations and favorable ocean conditions. The cleanest water is holding throughout the shallower kelp beds and along the Shores, while divers heading deeper (around 15 m / 50 ft and below) should expect visibility to become a bit hazier with increased suspended particulate matter. Sea surface temperatures remain in the 70–72°F range, making for comfortable conditions with a 3–5 mm suit.

Surf has settled into the 2–3 ft range today, providing relatively easy entries and exits compared to the larger swell seen earlier this week. A small amount of surge is still possible on shallow reefs and exposed points, but overall conditions are favorable for both freedivers and scuba divers. Light morning winds are expected to gradually increase through the afternoon, adding a bit of surface chop later in the day. As always, the best diving window will be from early morning through late morning before the afternoon sea breeze builds. Dive safe!
