The water is looking only slightly less green today, but we’re still seeing plenty of haze with visibility sitting around 10 ft. The south swell built overnight and is peaking today, so there’s still enough energy in the water to keep things stirred up.

Surface conditions are actually looking pretty calm, though we may see a little more wind than yesterday. Winds should remain fairly light overall.

The tide will push in quickly after 3 pm this afternoon. An incoming tide can bring cool, cleaner water with it, but with the water moving in this quickly, it could also stir things up — so viz later today may be a bit of a wildcard.

Looking ahead, we’ve also got a good sized SW groundswell due this weekend, so enjoy the calmer surface conditions while we have them.
