We’re finally seeing the Iselle swell start to back off after a good amount of energy was still in the water yesterday. Surf should continue easing today, down to around chest high at the larger spots, giving the water a little opportunity to settle before the next round arrives.

Viz is still sitting around 10–15 ft for the most part. We’ve got an incoming tide this afternoon, which should help push in some cooler, cleaner water. If you can find a spot tucked away from the remaining swell, late afternoon could be a promising window for some better viz.

It’s a foggy start along the coast with a light onshore breeze, but the ocean itself is looking pretty flat. Winds should stay light to moderate throughout the day, keeping surface conditions manageable.

Looking ahead, a good-sized SW groundswell is due this weekend, along with a smaller NW wind swell. Chances of precipitation increasing toward the middle of next week as tropical moisture moves into the region.

Not a bad window between swells today. 10–15 ft of viz, pretty flat surface conditions, and a filling tide this afternoon. Protected spots later in the day may be worth checking out.
