Surface conditions look pretty smooth but there’s still a good amount of movement in the water today. The SW groundswell is building through the weekend, along with a light to moderate NW wind swell, so expect some noticeable surge at the more exposed dive sites.

Visibility is ranging from 5–15 ft and can be pretty variable depending on where you’re diving. This morning, the nearest piling is clearly visible while the 11 ft piling is fairly hazy. 

Up top, things are actually looking nice. Winds are light with minimal chop, keeping the surface smooth despite the swell energy moving underneath.

The SW swell will continue through Sunday the 30th, so protected areas will be your better bet for finding calmer water. Fair viz today, but expect surge and changing clarity if you’re heading somewhere exposed.
