December 7th

Vis: 30 ft
Surf: 1–2 ft @ 10s WNW
Water Temp: 60–62°F

Absolutely stellar conditions today. Scripps cam is flashing a true 30 ft of bluewater viz, some of the best we’ve seen in weeks. If you’ve been waiting for a green-light day, this is it.

Yesterday brought some awesome wildlife encounters—sea turtles and leopard sharks were both spotted around La Jolla Cove and Marine Room—so expect plenty of life in the shallows.

With the king tides peaking, the reef is opening up for incredible low-tide tidepooling. Tons of exposed structure and clear water make it perfect for exploring before or after a dive.

Overall: A-grade conditions. Grab your gear and enjoy it while it lasts.
