Conditions remain pretty consistent throughout La Jolla today. Visibility is generally 8–10 feet, with occasional pockets pushing 12–15 feet around the Cove and cleaner kelp edges. The water still has a slight green tint with suspended particulate matter, but overall clarity has been slowly improving over the past several days.

A 2–3 foot SSW swell with a long period is moving through the area. Surface conditions are clean this morning with light winds, making for comfortable shore entries and minimal surface chop. Expect the usual light onshore breeze this afternoon, which may rough up the surface but shouldn’t significantly affect underwater conditions if you’re diving early.

Overall, it’s a fair-to-good day to dive, especially if you can get in during the morning or around the afternoon low tide. The water isn’t crystal clear yet, but it’s trending in the right direction. If the light winds continue over the next couple of days, visibility should continue to improve.
