Reports are coming in that the red tide has left La Jolla Shores, and visibility is looking decent out past the shallows. Unknown if this is the case further south, but as of yesterday night the red tide in Pacific Beach was still going strong, with poor visibility. If your headed out I'd recommend staying out up north and finding some pockets past the shallows.
