Vis: ~15 ft
Swell: 3 ft+
Surface Temp: 72-74°F
High Tide 4.6 ft ~ 3:23 pm
Low Tide 0.1 ft ~ 10:30 pm
Looking a little better than yesterday. Viz is sitting around 15 ft, and while there's still a noticeable amount of particulate making things hazy, the water isn't looking too green just yet. You may even luck into some cleaner pockets depending on where you get in.
Surface conditions are significantly calmer than yesterday, with very light winds and minimal chop. Winds are variable under 5 kts this morning, becoming NW around 5–10 kts this afternoon. We've still got 3–5 ft surf at most spots from a mixed S/SW swell, although La Jolla is staying more protected from that energy.
The tide is pushing in until around 3:20 pm, which could help keep some cleaner water around for now. Once it starts pulling out later this afternoon, we may see things get greener and more stirred up again.
Still some haze to work through, but calmer surface conditions and the incoming tide are making for a better start to the day. Just keep the swell in mind, especially in exposed areas.
As always, dive safe!
