Vis: ~30 ft (excellent!)
Swell: 4–6 ft, rising into sunset and peaking tomorrow
Water Temp: ~67°F (19.5°C)
Scripps Pier cam is showing outstanding 30-foot visibility today — the clearest we’ve seen in a while! The water has warmed slightly to a comfortable 67°F, so it’s a great day to get out there.
That said, surf has picked up significantly, with 4–6 ft sets expected to continue rising through the evening and into tomorrow. The surf is actively breaking inside La Jolla Cove, so divers may find calmer conditions closer to Marine Room or other more protected spots.
Overall, visibility is excellent, but be mindful of the swell. Time your entries and exits carefully, and enjoy the warm, clear water while it lasts!
