Group Line Diving Sessions

Group Line Diving is a 2–3 hour freediving training session for certified freedivers looking to refine technique, improve depth, and get consistent water time. Proof of certification is required. If you are booking a make-up or have not yet passed course requirements, please contact us in advance.

We will meet at Kellogg Park in La Jolla Shores. Feel free to bring your gear out to the park, we usually change out there and leave our bags. We will start out with a stretch then once we're all dressed out we will kick out to the canyon and do some diving! It's usually a 10-15 minute swim out to the canyon and then we spend a good hour or two training. Floats and lines are provided; divers must bring all other personal gear. After the dive, we wrap things up with a casual post-dive cookout, eat some tasty hotdogs, and mingle with other divers.

These sessions are not classes and are intended for divers who have completed and passed a freediving course and are capable of acting as a competent safety for others on their float. Divers who have taken a course but still need to pass requirements must book a Refresher Session, which includes an instructor dedicated to your float for safety and coaching. Discounts from classes may be applied to refresher sessions only.

Group Line Diving is a place to develop skills and relaxation in the water through controlled and comfortable repetition. This is not the place to push to extremes. It is on you to stay within your limits, and if our crew members tell you to dial it back and stop pushing depth or bottom times repeatedly, we have the right to remove you from the session. Repeated disregard for staff direction will end your session and may affect eligibility for future participation.
