Surface conditions are pretty ideal, with near flat surf and very little energy in the water. Near shore conditions around La Jolla, and more so North County still have some lingering red tide. It's patchy, so if you're in a murky spot just keep swimming. With how flat everything has been the clear areas are quite clear, so worth going out and finding them.
