May 25 - June 2

Join us on an incredible freediving, spearfishing, and sailing expedition in the Sea of Cortez! Last year was one of the record books and we're confident that this year will be even better. We will be sailing along over 100 miles of coastline that is unreachable by land, so the spots are as remote and untouched as they come. We can promise you that even if you never even go into the water, this trip would be worth it. The chefs are top of the line with ingredients that are as fresh as they come, the sights are breathtaking, and the diving is world class.

The Boat:

You will live on a gorgeous 45 foot catamaran that comfortably sleeps 8 guests and a crew member who is waiting on your every need. There are four rooms with AC that sleep 2 people per room and each room has its own bathroom. We will be towing a panga and a smaller tender so we can break up the divers and give everyone equal opportunity in the water.

The Trip:

All you do is...well...up to you. You can hang out on the boat, or you can dive all day. What you don't do is cook, clean, or drive. Whatever your dietary needs are, the crew will accommodate. The food is Michelin star quality so prepare to be blown away.

Once we're on the boat we head north where the diving gets more and more remote. We will have a game plan for the diving but we keep it flexible so that we can always stay on the fish.

We're timing this trip to have your best shot at everything. Late May and early June is when most of the snapper are up in the shallows to spawn so the reef diving is about as good as it gets. It's also around the tail end of yellowtail and the beginning of Amberjack so you'll have opportunities at them both. This is going to be at the beginning of the wahoo season so its very likely to see one of those as well...like we did last year!

We also have the opportunity for activities outside of diving that include hiking, paddleboarding, and exploring the islands we will be visiting.

Schedule:

Day 1 - May 25 - Fly into La Paz, shuttle to La Ventana where we will be staying for the night

Day 2 - May 26 - Dive Cerralvo on Pangas. This is going to be a great opportunity for Wahoo. At the end of the day we will meet the Catamaran out on the water and jump on board to officially start the trip. All of your gear will already have been loaded up.

Day 3 - May 27 - Dive off of the Cat

Day 4 - May 28 - Dive off of the Cat

Day 5 - May 29 - Dive off of the Cat

Day 6 - May 30 - Dive off of the Cat

Day 7 - May 31 - Dive off of the Cat

Day 8 - June 1 - Dive early and disembark at 11AM for Palapas Ventana where we will be staying overnight

Day 9 - June 2 - Breakfast and then head off for the airport

Travel:

Best route for travel is to fly into La Paz. From there it's about a 45 minute ride to Palapas Ventana. We take out a panga on the first day, dive around Cerralvo island (also known as Jacques Cousteau island) and then the live aboard will come pick us up out at sea. We offload from the panga directly to the Liveaboard. Then we take off and head north and eventually make our way back to La Ventana 7 days later. Another option is to catch a flight into San Jose Del Cabo and take a bus to La Ventana.

What we do here in San Diego is fly out of Tijuana. We can find much cheaper flights from there. We have someone drive us down to the border and use the CBX border crossing to enter the TJ airport. It's very fast and streamlined. The CBX is connected to the TJ airport so we basically walk across the border and then fly out.
Not Included:
Airfare, fishing license, tips, booze
for tips we recommend $300 for the kitchen, cleaning, maintenance, captains, and guides.
