Overview
Are you looking for a unique and exciting way to introduce your child to the wonders of the underwater world? This Junior Freediving Course is designed for children ages 12-15, providing them with the opportunity to learn freediving skills in a fun, safe, and engaging environment and then putting those skills into action by exploring local ocean environments. This is a 5-day extended program where each student has the opportunity to leave with a Molchanovs Junior Freediver Certification.
This week-long program runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, combining outdoor classroom education, pool training, and open-water experiences. By the end of the course, your child will gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge to safely explore the underwater world while building lifelong respect for the marine environment. Molchanovs Junior Freediver Certifications are limited in depth and time parameters to ensure safety. Once a participant turns 16, they can transition to adult-level Molchanovs Wave programs.

Junior Education Structure:
Junior 12-15yr:
Lap (Pool):
Children begin by learning freediving theory, equalization, the front crawl technique, and STA/DYN/DYNB technique. Later, they learn how to turn complete a pool turn, learn breaststroke and DNF technique, and improve their STA time. Advanced students learn about possible freediving injuries and training methods and slowly increase distances in all disciplines while working on technique.
Wave (Open-Water):
Children begin by learning freediving physics, surface swimming techniques, and FIM/CWT/CWTB techniques. Later, they learn about equalization techniques and human anatomy underwater, blackout rescue, experience CNF technique, and improve their FIM/CWT/CWTB performances. Advanced students will learn how to train in open water, understand equalization methods, and improve their FIM/CWT/CWTB/CNF techniques.
