Join us for a week long spearfishing adventure in northern Costa Rica, right in the heart of Yellowfin Tuna country and smack dab in the middle of the peak season. We have a house right on the beach in Samara Costa Rica which is conveniently located within walking distance to the main part of town.
Costa Rica is one of the greatest places to target Yellowfin Tuna and the whole process is nothing short of magical. We start by heading offshore in search of spinner dolphin pods. Once we locate a spinner pod, we then start to prepare our gear and get ready to for the action that will ensue. Once divers are ready we slowly keep pace with the spinner dolphins and maneuver ourselves into position, slightly ahead of the school. Once in position we drop divers in the water as they wait until a giant biomass of dolphin that corral a school of bait fish come into view. The dolphin aren't alone, as they work in tandem with schools of yellowfin tuna to keep the bait fish together as they take turns capitalizing on the baitfish schools. Imagine getting to dive into a school of dolphin, only to be followed by a massive school of yellowfin tuna. The hardest part from here is picking which fish you'd like to take home with you that day.
The main target species will be Yellowfin Tuna with potential opportunities at Cubera Snapper, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, and others. We will be spending 3 days offshore diving for pelagics and one day on the reef going for Cubera and other reef species.

Trip includes: 4 full days on the boat spearfishing, transportation to and from Liberia airport, and accommodation.
Trip does not include: airfare, food, tips.
A semi-refundable deposit of $800 is required to lock in your spot. Semi-refundable means the initial deposit will be refunded, minus the service fee, once the cancelled spot has been reserved by a new guest. If the cancelled spot cannot be filled by a new guest the deposit will be forfeited.
Half of the trip total ($1,300) is due Dec 31
