Get wet with us! The ocean off of San Diego has so many cool spots to check out with wildlife, kelp, and best of all a great group of people to get out there with!
Most of these events are group dives or snorkel sessions.
Every Sunday we have a group of freedivers who go out at La Jolla Shores for depth training (please see Group Line Diving if you have taken a class and want to line dive), as well as students who are finishing up freediving courses. The snorkel sessions on Sunday go in conjunction with the freediving training...everyone meets on the beach, does some stretching, and the snorkelers will swim around the Marine Room and La Jolla Caves while the line divers go out in the canyon. Afterwords we cook up some hot dogs, hang out, and talk about nerdy diver things.
We are adding additional fun dives to the calendar throughout the week. These will be at varying locations. We will take a look at the conditions and figure out the best place to go a couple days ahead of time and will send out a message to everyone who has signed up with all the details. The vast majority of our dives will be in the La Jolla or Point Loma areas. Events that have a pre-determined location will show the location in the headline.
The women only dives are pretty special, guys I know we feel left out but sometimes the girls need their space and I guess we should respect that :)
For workshops and seminars, the topic description will be in the headline as well as the location.
For purely social events like movie nights or meetups, we will post the location in the headline as well.
Whether we stay on land or get in the water we all look forward to meeting you and introducing you to all of the cool things the ocean has in store, the sport of freediving, and most of all the amazing cast of characters that has inspired and supported us throughout the years!
