Marlin Bait Ball Magic - Camera and Freediving Workshops
Towards the end of the year in the Southern Pacific side of Baja, the waters come alive and something truly magical happens. The Baja sardine run makes its journey into Mag bay and it brings a whole cast of characters looking to capitalize on the moving buffet including Whales, Mahi, Sea Lions, and the most significant being striped Marlin. Its truly a Nat Geo moment to watch nature working together to corral these sardine together and push them to the surface so they can all take turns to get a meal and its one that people travel near and far to witness it first hand.
This is a great place to bring out your cameras and capture the magic as it unfolds right in front of you. Two time Emmy Award winning filmmaker Nathan Minatta will be there to capture the magic and help you to hone your photography/videography skills. Each night he will present different workshops on the art of filmmaking and teach you how to hone your camera skills.
In addition to getting to witness nature at its finest, we will also be taking some time each day bring out the floats and work on your freediving. Its the best of everything and we hope that you can it.
On our way back from Mag bay we will be stopping at a well known dig site to search for fossils like Megalodon teeth
