Inshore visibility is looking very good this morning, with clear blue water around La Jolla Shores based on local observations and the latest ocean conditions. The cleanest water is holding throughout the shallower kelp beds and along the Shores, while divers venturing deeper (around 15 m / 50 ft and below) should expect visibility to become a bit hazier with increased suspended particulate matter. Sea surface temperatures remain in the 70–72°F range, making for comfortable diving in a 3–5 mm suit.

Surf remains in the 2–3 ft range this morning, making for relatively easy entries and exits at most La Jolla shore dive sites. Light surge is still possible on shallow reefs and exposed points, but overall conditions are favorable for both freedivers and scuba divers. Winds are light early this morning and are expected to gradually increase through the afternoon, bringing a bit more surface chop later in the day. As usual, the best diving window will be from early morning through late morning before the afternoon sea breeze builds. Dive safe!
