There’s some solid surf rolling through today, with sets coming in around chest high. Viz is ranging from 5–15 ft. With moderate swell expect some surge and more variable clarity at exposed dive sites.

We’ve got a mixed swell in the water — a short-period W/NW wind swell around 4–7 sec, along with a lingering light S swell. Winds are staying fairly light out of the W at 5–10 kts, so despite the extra movement underneath, the surface should stay relatively smooth with minimal chop.

One other thing to keep in mind this week is water quality. Bacteria levels are exceeding health standards at one or more sites in the SD area, so make sure to check current advisories for your specific dive spot before heading out there.
