Inshore visibility is looking very good today, with clear blue water around La Jolla Shores based on local observations and conditions visible from the Scripps Pier cameras. The cleanest water is holding in the shallower portions of the kelp and along the Shores, while divers heading deeper (around 15 m / 50 ft and below) should expect visibility to become a bit hazier with increased particulate matter. Sea surface temperatures remain warm in the 70–72°F range, making for comfortable diving conditions.

Surf remains elevated in the 3–4 ft range today, so although the water is relatively clear, expect some surge on the shallow reefs and around exposed entry and exit points. Light morning winds will gradually increase into the afternoon, adding more surface chop as the day goes on. The best conditions will be during the morning through late morning before the afternoon breeze builds.
