Vis: 10-15 ft
Swell: 1-2ft
Temp: 67-69°F
Visibility remains patchy around San Diego, averaging 10–15 ft at most local sites. Surface temperatures are very nice 67–69°F, but a sharp thermocline around 10 meters (30 ft) dropping temperatures into the mid-50s. Swell is minimal at 1–2 feet, creating manageable conditions. Morning surface conditions look pretty flat, not seeing much surface chop.
Bottom Line: Visibility can be hit-or-miss near the surface, but divers are reporting nice cleaner water below the thermocline. Be prepared for a significant temperature drop, but those willing to brave the colder water are finding the better conditions deeper!
