Visibility:
Really solid visibility today. The Scripps Pier cam is showing all pilings, including the far piling at ~30 ft, putting viz in that 25–35 ft range. Slight haze at distance but for the most part water looks clean with minimal particulate. With water temps around 61-63 That means GO DIVE!!!!!
Swell:
Small mixed swell in the water right now.
- WNW swell around 2–3 ft
- Long-period S swell around 2–3 ft @ ~14–17s
Overall, pretty mellow energy. Nothing pushing hard water movement.
Wind:
- Light winds this morning, generally under 10 knots
- Expected to shift W/NW and build slightly this afternoon
Best window is early before any afternoon bump.
General Ocean Feel:
Clean, user-friendly conditions. Light wind + small swell combo is keeping things divable and comfortable, especially around reef and structure.
