La Jolla / San Diego Dive Report — Monday May 4
Vis: 8–12 ft
Swell: 2–3 ft, mixed
Temp: 62–64°F
Tides:
- High: ~6:30 AM
- Low: ~1:00 PM
Still feeling the effects from the wind and rain over the weekend. Water hasn’t fully cleaned up yet.
Quick take
- Inside: murky, stirred up
- Outside: pockets of cleaner water if you work for it
- Surface: cleaner early around high tide, more texture into the afternoon
Runoff is still a factor, so be smart about where you’re getting in, especially near coves and shoreline drains.
Best bet
Time your dive around the morning high tide, get in early, and push deeper or outside.
Bottom line
Not pretty, but diveable if you pick it right.
