Wave Courses (Open-Water). Independent of Lap Courses (Pool). Ages 8-15.
This experience is flexible to your availability. Please reach out if you do not see a date that works for you.
Under the guidance of our certified Freediving Instructors who are professionally trained as Junior Freediving Instructors, children will develop water confidence, swimming skills, relaxation and mental techniques, and all the necessary skills to explore the underwater world comfortably and safely.
Age Groups and Course Structure:
-
Your child will dive into the basics of freediving theory, learn how to flutter kick at the surface, duck dive, pull their way down and up a line (Free Immersion), and flutter kick to depth on a line (Constant Weight). We will also explore local habitats and put our new skills to the test!
For children, we do not push any breath holds or depths! We are strict on this course being only within the comfortable range for children, and we have three different levels for each age group (for example, 8-15 year olds can progress through the open water Wave 1, Wave 2, and Wave 3 courses). Once a child reaches 16 they are able to register for Adult Freediving Courses.
